A select group of Dutch maritime companies brought a succesful visit to Jiangsu Province last April 12 to April 16. They were discovering this region by combining a trade fair participation at CIMPS in Nanjing and a 2-day Pioneer Mission in the shipbuilding region Nantong. The visit turned out to be very succesful. For both the Dutch and Chinese parties, there were enough opportunities to discuss new business and ways of cooperation.
CIMPS It was the first time that the Netherlands was represented at this trade fair with a collective 'Maritime by Holland' booth.
Many succesful stories of cooperation between Dutch and Chinese parties can be found. AHOY Rotterdam and CIMPS started a partnership as well with the shared goal to help this Chinese trade fair growing to a higher international level. During CIMPS, which took place from April 12 till 14, both parties signed a cooperation agreement.
Pioneer Mission
The Pioneer Mission with focus on shipbuilding region Nantong consisted of shipyard visits to 5 reputable organisations. On April 15 and 16 were successively visited: Jiangsu Rongsheng Heavy Industries Co.,Ltd, Nantong Tong Mao Shipping Co.,Ltd, Nantong MLC Tongbao Shipping Co.,Ltd., Cosco Nantong Shipyard Co.,Ltd and Nantong Keppel Dockyard Co.,Ltd.
