Westmark BV (P-Trap anti-piracy system) and Vecom Marine Alliance BV are pleased to announce their cooperation agreement at the Europort 2011 conference in Rotterdam.
Vecom Marine is a producer and sales organization of chemicals – providing gases and safety services on a world-wide bases covering 47 countries with sales and distribution offices.
Under the umbrella of the safety division Vecom Marine will provide sales and marketing for Westmark’s P–Trap, which is a unique passive non-lethal anti-piracy system.
Westmark BV is the developer and producer of the P-Trap system. The P-Trap system won the Safety at Sea International Award 2011 (security), P-Trap was shortlisted at Lloyds Global Awards and was finalists at the 2011 Safety at Sea Awards ceremony organized by Seatrade. P-Trap has proved itself after tests have been performed with Dutch marines on the North Sea.
“We needed a Dynamic world-wide sales organisation to make the P-Trap system well-known” said Maurits Westerbeek van Eerten, Director of Westmark BV “and Vecom is the right sales partner”. The inventor of the P-Trap system is Lodewijk Westerbeek van Eerten, he added to the above: “We are pleased with this cooperation, as it will let us concentrate on further development for the pirate trap”.
“The P-Trap system is an addition to our safety products and services and is part of our safety strategy”, said Jason Georgiou, Director of Vecom Marine. “We are excited with this additional unique sales tool and we are ready to promote it world-wide”, added Mr .Georgiou.
The agreement was signed on Wednesday at the Europort 2011 conference, where the P-Trap system is presented at both Vecom and Westmark booths.
