Eekels (part of TBI) introduces on November 29, 2011 her new alarm and monitoring system on the marine and offshore exhibition Marintec in Shanghai. The system will be put in the world-wide marine and offshore market under the name Eekels S-line. The Eekels S-line is developed based on the current type EAS/05. Eekels already has more than forty years of experience with alarm and monitoring systems, the new line is the sixth generation of the Eekels Automation System (EAS).
With the introduction of the new system Eekels successfully managed to integrate the latest customers’ requirements into the system. Concrete: more functionality for a better price. The Eekels S-line, type EAS/06 is a complete in Europe made and developed system. The hart is formed by a Siemens S7-300 Programmable Logic Controller, in addition several other high-certified well proven components are used. The choice of these components ensures a long-term availability of spare parts and very good service. The system is developed in a way that it is easy to use and maintain by the ship’s crew.
Due to the modular concept the EAS/06 is not only available as pure alarm and monitoring system but also easy extendable with other control modules. In this way Eekels makes the concept of “Total Ship Automation” completely true.
During the Marintec Eekels introduces in cooperation with her Chinese partner SaierNico alongside the S-line also the new A-line alarm and monitoring system. SaierNico develops and produces this alarm and monitoring system. This system will be available in the first quarter of 2012.
