From 30 November until December 2 the most important maritime trade fair of North-America took place: The International WorkBoat Show 2011. Over 1000 exhibitors from all over the world were present welcoming more than 13,000 visitors. The Netherlands was also represent with a Maritime by Holland Pavilion. The visitors reacted in a positive way when they discovered the variety of maritime products and services that were offered at the Dutch Pavilion.
The second trade fair day was attended very well. At this day the Maritime by Holland networking reception took place. Several special guests visited the reception. Amongst others, Nasser el Hakim, Minister of Economic Development of Curaçao and Michelle Hooyboer-Winklaar, the Aruban Minister of Economics, Social Affairs and Culture. Two honoray consuls from Houston and New Orleans were also present. The networking reception attracted the attention of over 150 persons and was officialy sponsored by the consulate in Miami.
