The eighth edition of Maritime by Holland Magazine is out now. This last edition in 2011 is a very special issue, as the magazine is celebrating its 60 years jubilee . Coert van Zijll Langhout, director of Navingo, provides the guest column. In the special, attention is paid to the diamond jubilee and several managers from different maritime sectors look back at 2011 and give their vision on 2012.
Bas Buchner, president at MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands) tells about Joint Industry Projects, among others, yacht builder Royal Huisman plays the leading role in the Global Holland series and the latest developments in the area of piracy and LNG are discussed. Heavy cargo multi purpose vessel ABIS Bremen, accommodation barge Vivaldi and cutter suction dredger Athena feature in the ship descriptions.
