Royal Huisman about Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19)
As you will be aware, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared on Wednesday 11 March 2020 that the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) constitutes a public health emergency of international concern. On Monday 23 March 2020, on the advice of the National Institute for Public Health and Environmental Hygiene (RIVM), the Dutch government announced additional measures to control the outbreak as much as possible.
During this period, we as Royal Huisman and Rondal have taken the necessary measures in accordance with government policy and the advice of RIVM. With these measures, we continue to build and refit yachts and yacht products for our customers as much as possible.
Our employees and employees of our supplying partners in our production facility continue to work in shifts. In this way we reduce the number of employees who work on a yacht simultaneously and we increase the possibility to observe the minimum social distance. Where shift work still does not sufficiently lead to social distance, we take additional measures. Employees in office functions work from home as much as possible. Where employees carry out work in the office, they maintain the minimum social distance. Our facilities (office and production) are cleaned more intensively.
In this period we continue to count on your timely delivery of goods and services so that we can continue to build, produce and refit.
We will keep you informed of our developments and count on you to do the same.
We trust to have informed you adequately.
